As longstanding residents of the area, we believe that it is critical that we
actively work to support people and organizations that add value to our lives-be
it locally within the community, in a particular industry, or on a regional or nationwide basis.
Following is just a sample of the various organizations and initiatives that we
support. These are all people and groups that we are personally familiar
with, and are highly deserving of your support. Links are provided where
available.
- Prince George's County Public Schools Dictionary Project: The Indian Head Highway Area Action
Council in conjunction with the Prince George's County Police Department has
committed to purchase and supply a dictionary for every third-grade student in
southern Prince George's County. For the last two years, we have funded
this project for every third-grader in two elementary schools and have
committed to continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

- Home of the World's Worst Weather (231 mph wind), atop the highest peak in
the eastern United States in Conway, NH. Also home to decades of
research on climate data and aircraft icing.
- International Society of Air Safety
Investigators - Aviation safety/accident investigators, aircraft
manufacturers, airlines, and government representatives
- American Truck Historical Society -
Organization of collectors of antique trucks of all types
- Antique Automobile Club of America -
Premier nationwide antique car collector organization
- Radio History Society - Radio &
Television museum located in Bowie, Maryland
- DCRTV - Web site dedicated to
news, technical information and gossip on everything having to do with radio
and televison in the Washington, D. C. area. Probably the most extensive and
up-to-date site of its type in existence, and the go-to place for those who
know or those who want to.
